Our encounters with God’s welcoming love will inspire us, challenge us and leave us wanting more. But will it lead to change? When we encounter the beauty and power of God and allow God to speak His heart over us again and again until we believe it, we are reformed.
The beautiful thing about pain is it grabs our attention. We feel something is wrong and have a chance to change. I do not believe that God inflicts the pain on us to achieve change but partners with us, in it, to bring about our best. Know that when we hit the wall the Lord is wanting to lead us into freedom, transformation and greater levels of trust and connection.
The term "opportunity cost" means the choices you couldn't choose, or the opportunities you miss out on, because of the choice you did make. For example, if you have two paths you could choose to walk down and you choose path A, the opportunity cost is all the things you would have experienced and who you would become by those experiences on path B. To sit at the Table of God, the opportunity cost is a self-determined, self earned, self-made, independent existence. I believe that most of us desire to make this transformation from independent to God-dependent and in choosing to do so we embark on a beautiful journey into a beautiful relationship with our faithful God.

It is not about the table but what the table represents: family, connection, togetherness, fun, freedom, home, hope and a place to belong and be loved. He sees you. He knows you. And He invites you to "Come to the table". Will you come?
Cam and Trish Parker live in Auckland, New Zealand with their two beautiful daughters, Ellie and Etta. Cam and Trish serve as Pastors at Illuminate Church in Silverdale on Auckland’s Hibiscus Coast. Cam’s role includes preaching, pastoring and leading the yound adults ministry. Cam is a story-teller, an avid podcast listener and a builder. He loves craft coffee and escaping to the sea to spear fish. Trish is involved in preaching and Kid’s ministry and loves seeing young children experience the wonder and goodness of their Heavenly Father. As a family, they love going on adventures, having dance parties in the lounge and watching movies.
